Who we are
The moq.pt website is operated by MOQ Consulting Lda. (trading as MOQ Engineering), tax number (NIPC) 516899317, registered office at Rua do Campo Alegre 1306, 103, 4150-174 Porto, Portugal, which is the controller of the personal data collected through this website. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us by email at [email protected] or by telephone on +351 22 317 31 40.
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit the website or contact us through it, what we use it for, who we share it with and what your rights are, under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) and Portuguese Law 58/2019 of 8 August.
What data we collect
- Data you give us in the contact form: name, email and message and, if you choose to provide them, telephone, location and project type.
- Technical browsing data, such as IP address, browser type and the date and time of access, recorded automatically by our hosting provider to keep the website secure and working.
We do not need sensitive data, so please do not include it in your messages.
How we use your data
- To reply to and follow up on your enquiry or request for a proposal, on the basis of steps taken at your request before entering into a contract and our legitimate interest in replying to those who contact us (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
- To protect the website and the form against spam, fraud and abuse, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To comply with legal obligations, where applicable (Article 6(1)(c)).
We do not use your data for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not make automated decisions or build profiles from it.
Who we share your data with
Your data is handled only by our team and by the service providers that help us run the website and receive your enquiries. These providers act on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, content delivery, security and spam protection for the form (Cloudflare Turnstile).
- Resend: delivery of form submissions to our inbox, from servers in the European Union (Ireland).
- Microsoft 365: the email service where we receive and reply to messages.
- Google Fonts: the website's typefaces, loaded from Google's servers, which receive your device's IP address.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, for example at the request of a court.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based in, or have servers in, countries outside the European Economic Area, notably the United States. In those cases transfers rely on the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, such as the adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long we keep your data
We keep messages and contact details for as long as needed to reply to and follow up on your enquiry, and for no more than three years after our last contact. If the enquiry leads to a contract, the legal retention periods apply. Technical logs kept by our service providers are held for short periods, in line with their own policies.
Cookies and local storage
This website does not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies. Your light or dark theme preference is stored only in your own browser and is never sent to us.
Cloudflare may use cookies or technical data that are strictly necessary for website security and for spam protection on the form, which do not require consent. You can delete or block this data in your browser settings, although some features, such as sending the form, may stop working.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to the people who need the data to reply to you, and service providers with security guarantees. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect the information you entrust to us.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing and to request its portability. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We reply within one month and may ask for information to confirm your identity.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt.
